Bumpkins and their Pumpkins 2009

We went to Schaake's Pumpkin Patch again this year in search of the perfect pumpkin.

Ella and Liliana found theirs. Getting it to the truck was a different issue entirely.

Liliana says she hopes to be at least as tall as her Uncle Miles (6'4") with feet as big as his (size 14), but she never said anything about big boobs like Frankenstein's wife.

Tiniest Pumpkin

Derek gives me a hard time because every month (with every baby) I say "this is my favorite age!" But seriously, could she be any cuter? Julietta is so fun and happy - even if she refuses to smile when I am holding a camera JUST LIKE her stinkin brother.

How Tall This Fall?

Blasting Off

Derek and the children participated in the annual "Blast Off With Dads" event and built this cool rocket.

Spreading Out

It is amazing how much Kindergartners can learn in am eight week season. They started in a mob around the ball and slowly spread out and began to understand the game. That #33 is not to be messed with.

"OK boys, here's the plan . . . get the ball into that goal."

Jack doesn't fool around - he has elbows and he knows how to use them.
