Moby Dick and Snapping Turtles

Saturday and Sunday afternoons were spent fishing for bluegills and spotting snapping turtles at Potter's Lake on campus.

Scouting from the bridge.

Tasha feeds a snapping turtle (look to the left of Jack's feet) grapes while Jack ponders pushing her in.

Ella scurried up a tree to keep her toes safe from a snapper.

Jack and dad cast for "the big one."

Hey dad, even fish think crack is whack.

Jack learning the difference between "fishing" and "catching."

Bingo! The first catch of the day!

"Yeah, this one is nice, but you should have seen the one that got away!"

Hey fish, how totally sweet are my earrings?

After the first catch, the fish couldn't stay off the hook.. All three kids reeled one in.
