Shhh!

Julietta got on a sleeping schedule within six weeks or so of being born. In October she went on strike and gave up sleeping at night. By late November Derek and I could not figure out what to do to get Julietta to sleep at night. She had a stuffy nose and seemed sort of cold. But, all of the literature and pediatricians recommend that baby be in a crib without bumpers, blankets, pillows, or any other object in their bed. So, we took a pillow off our bed and propped her up between her crib bumpers. Then, we took our favorite brown couch blanket (which measures 48x60 inches or so) from the living room and covered her and her favorite pink blanket. Now she "sleeps like a baby," but we worry that we are going to be arrested by Child Protective Services for violating the crib laws.
