On the Fourth of July Ella and Liliana ran in The Mass Street Mile, which was held downtown on Massachusetts Street. (Liliana is the girl in front and Ella is in the back right of the photo)
Liliana started with a fast pace.
Ella wasn't far behind.

Ella lost third by 0.2 seconds! It was a photo finish.
After the race.
Jack was so proud.
Julietta was too.
After running, the big kids participated in a bike race. I took Julietta home for a nap so I did not get any photos. Liliana won again. Ella and Jack each took third in their age divisions.

Once Julietta woke up we went back downtown to enjoy the festivities before we headed off to buy fireworks and eat lunch.
