Are You Ready For a Football Party?

On September 25, 2010 Jack celebrated his seventh birthday with eighteen of his closest friends. Above is the front of his party invitation and below is the back. Under that is the RSVP card front and back. Click any image to see it larger.

We scheduled Jack's party, designed his invitations, and then finally got his soccer schedule. Of course, his party was right after his soccer game. So, Jack left the game a little early, but his soccer buddies were a little late. It was a chilly fall football kind of day.

Big Jay stopped by our tent on the Hill to wish Big Jack a very happy seventh birthday.

After that we ran Jay down to snap a family photo. Julietta was thrilled. {grin}

Next, came singing "happy birthday" and cake.

It was too wet and windy to light the candles so I made Jack pretend to blow them out for a photo after we sang "happy birthday."

I almost forgot to snap a photo of his cake - don't mind the cut mark. {grin}

Some pretty cheerleaders saw our handsome little stud muffin and asked if they could have their picture with him. Jack generously agreed.

After giving time to his fans, Jack and the kiddos headed to the Family Fun Zone.

After Derek took multiple trips back to the car to drop our goodies and Jack's gifts we managed to navigate 22 children down the hill and through Memorial Stadium (and 20000 fans) to our seats.

As we started to head down the hill a strong mist began to fall. By the time we made it to our seats everything was extremely damp.

But, the rain stopped and we all had a great time cheering for the Jayhawks.

Yep, we were in the first row.

Jack had a great day with all of his friends.

After the Jayhawks big win over New Mexico State we headed back to our tent.
