Jack's Jayhawk Birthday

Jack turned SEVEN on September 18, 2010.

and had a Jayhawk sports themed birthday.

His cake was a football.

He also had KU themed cupcakes for his class.

Ok, I may have overdone it with posting photos of Jack with his cake, but he is sooo cute I couldn't help it.

This one is different because Jack wanted me to add his name to the cake. So, of course, I had to snap another photo. And post it . . .

. . . twice . . .

Jack got into the "Happy Birthday" song.

Uncle Miles and Aunt Rena were both part of the birthday celebration. We're kind of a big deal around here, so Miles tuned in via Skype from Santa Barbara, California. {grin}

Jack blew out his candle in one blow!

I snapped one more photo - this one has the blown out candle on it : ).

Then he got busy opening gifts. The first one he opened was a magic wand. That wand went with his new magic cape, hat, and magic set! You'll see more of that in another post.

He got several Jayhawk themed Christmas ornaments.

Julietta was thrilled.

Jack also got a leather baseball glove.

Uncle Miles sent a new UCSB sweatshirt. I didn't get a photo of Jack with his Harvard t-shirt, but Jack has exclusively smarty pants uncles. Both began studying for their PhDs this semester at big time schools and sent their new school colors for Jack's big day. Thanks Wise Family!!

Jack got some Jayhawk sunglasses.

Ella got Jack some new wiffle balls.

Julietta was excited.

Miles was too.

Aunt Ginger sent some favorite books.

Jack also got some new undies. He didn't get the memo on how to wear them.

Grandma and Grandpa Russell sent a cool board game and some birthday $$dough$$.

Liliana gave Jack one of the things that was on his list - silly bandz!

Jack cashed in with Aunt Rena.

We had a great party and a great day.

Happy, happy birthday sweet boy.

We love you!

Now all we have to do is find room for Jack's new toys and goodies!
