Then we laid around waited for Derek to come home from work.

Derek blew out thirty one candles. .
Jack was worried the smoke might cause damage.
Then he got really worried.
Everyone made it out of the candle smoke safely and Derek unwrapped his gifts. The kiddos worked hard making a coupon book of fifty or so coupons. The book includes 10 minute back and foot massages, days without complaining, and free reign on the TV remote. What a lucky Dad.
After gifts we went to dinner. Julietta wasn't very happy about not getting to eat that complimentary birthday desert.
But, Jack was glad he got the cherry.
After a swim at the Club, we came home and reminisced about what happened a year ago.
